About Us
Gayton playgroup was founded in 1974.
As demand increased we moved to our very own purpose built building in the grounds of Gayton Primary School in 2005 and changed our name to Gayton Goslings Daycare Centre.
As Gayton Primary School was in need of a bigger site and where successful in having a new state of the art building built for them, we where lucky enough to be provided a new building on the same site. In September 2022 we moved to our new building with two separate playrooms:
- A nursery room for 2 – 3 year olds
- A pre-school room for 3 – 4 year olds.
We open Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, 51 weeks a year. We also offer a Holiday club through out the school holidays for children aged two to Eleven years (booking is required)
Registering your child with us
If you would like your child to attend Gayton Goslings, please telephone or email to request a booking form. We do operate a waiting list and would suggest you register your child with us as early as possible. You are welcome to come and have a look around first, this can be arranged by contacting the setting.
Starting at Gayton Goslings
Where possible the settling in process starts with a home visit from the Centre Manager and your child's key person. This is often the first time your child will meet a member of staff and gives us a chance to see how your child operates in their own environment where they are the most confident. We will make notes on the things they like to play with and it gives us the opportunity to tell you a little more about Goslings and discuss any concerns of questions you may have.
This is followed up with a visit to Goslings and then your child starting. Your key person will spend a couple of weeks getting to know your child and liaising with you to ensure each child gets the best possible start.
